Jill's Weaving Page
Weaving is one of my major hobbies. I've been weaving for almost 20 years now.
Somehow, during those years, I've collected about 11 looms, a library of
books and magazines, a shop's worth of fiber equipment (including a
neglected spinning wheel), and, of course, a whole lot of yarn. I seem to
focus on complex weaving --the weaving of cloth using more than 4 harnesses
on the loom.
Weaving people tend to gravitate into more than one fiber-related craft.
Along with my weaving, I also work on a lot of needlework, Japanese Kumihimo braiding,
and some basic sewing skills. I also picked up fine furniture woodworking which I
describe as just another fiber craft. (The fibers are just harder to bend.)
The pics are all thumbnails. You can get the

Here I am
at my loom. I look cranky because this is the *second* 7 yard
warp I'm threading up to weave off in this pattern. I bore
easily. This was the sample yardage for the WGGB 50th Anniversary
Celebration. It's now been sent to the guild for mounting in the
sample book that everyone who participated in the napkin project
will receive.
Wanna see my stash? Well, this is really only about 25% of
what I have in yarn, books, magazines, and equipment, but you
can get a good idea. Click here.
